so training has been going really swell, i now have only two more hard sparring sessions on saturday and then it's time for the big dance, i'm incredibly excited...

i was just down in dallas for ufc 103, well technically for some p.r. work for the WEC and stuff, they flew me down on thurday night and flew me back to phoenix friday night, i really wish i could've stayed to watch the fights live but when they asked me if i wanted to stay, i knew that it would definitely be best if i came back as soon as possible, 1) for my hard sparring session on saturday and 2)to continue to mentally put myself in that place where i need to be, so i told the WEC that i wanted to come back to phoenix as soon as possible after i was done with all the p.r. work...

even though i wasn't in dallas very long i still had a blast, my boy efrain escudero was down there of course getting ready to k.o. cole miller (which he did 3 min.s into the first round), so i got to hangout with him and his boys for a bit...officially congratulations efrain, you looked great buddy...

it's funny how much of a small world mma is, at 103 i was amazed at how many guys i knew from before their ufc days, such as rick story (congrats ricky, way to throw down) who wrestled in college at the same time i did, actually he wrestled one of our studs in the national finals our senior year (sorry again that i couldn't stay and walk out to the ring with you)...ryan jensen was there coaching jason brillz both whom i know from back in my nebraska days and trained with a bit back when they were fighting for v.ictory f.ighting c.hampionship, i specifically remember this one time when i was round 4 of 7 (or something like that) for jason brillz and he beat the crap outta me, hahaha, good times...efrain of course who's my boy and helped me get ready for cerrone a bit, as our gym helped him train for miller also...and a couple of other guys who i remember seeing back in the day and now it's sort of paying off for us after all the hard work, blood, sweat, and tears...
like i said it's a small world of mma/bjj/wrestling and i love to see when guys are successful and to have known them and seen them back in the beginning of their careers to where they are now fighting ppv and just enjoying life and what we do in this crazy world...

so i'm off to church first and then i'm gonna hit up a bikram yoga class, i've found the best bikram yoga studio in the west valley of phoenix...

till next time
as always
JAH bless

your friendly, neighborhood cage-fighter...
