My introduction

As one of the newest members of the mtx fight team i thought id give myself an introduction. My name is Jarred Mercado, originally from New Jersey where I grew up as a wrestling junkie. I wrestled in the big ten for division one northwestern university.

About a year and a half ago I made the move to denver, colorado where i jumped into the world of bjj. Ive managed to win successfully in grappling tournaments throughout the country winning grapplers quest among others and taking third in the IBJJF US no gi grappling championships.

I train at grudge training center, where im slowwwwwllly but steadily developing my striking skills. My goal will always be to use my striking to set up my wrestling. while i work diligently on boxing and although i have some good natural physical attributes i would never assume im the next pac man. I will put you on your back, i will pass your guard and from their i feel very confident.

I look forward to interacting with you all. Over the next couple weeks i will start uploading some video of my training, so you can see my weekly routine also you will have a chance to see my amazing coaches and training partners.
