i've been trying to...
switch things up a bit and post more videos because that's supposed to be a lot better at getting and keeping fan interest but to be completely honest i just love to write and feel like i've been lacking on posting some written word blogs, so i'm going to fix that right now, hehehe...
i don't really have anything in mind to write about so this blog will probably be all over the place with my random musings...
training camp is going pretty well so far, i'm pretty much a gym rat and spend ALL of my day at my academy but i still always forget how friggin' hard it is to actually be in CAMP and training with intention and purpose...
i'm extremely stoked for my boi's chris 'grits' gruetzemacher and charlie 'hollywood' brown to dance this saturday, march 20th in chandler at the wildhorse casino, they been looking REALLY good in practices and sparring them is getting to be not so fun for me anymore, hehehe...if any of you guys want to watch some high quality MMA, i'm telling you, you won't be disappointed with my boi's, come on out and support MMA and these young up-and-coming fighters...
and i just competed in the 5th AZ international open tournament this past weekend, as always it's good times to go out there and compete...we took 2nd as a team, not too shabby considering that my academy has been around for, just shy of, three years and we beat some teams/gyms that have been established for well over 10 years...we have some real studs that are younger and gonna be world champs in bjj in no time at all...i ended up winning my purple-belt, weight class division...i had three matches and only the finals went to points, i HATE going to points (aka the judges score card)...i also competed in the purple-belt, OPEN weight class division as well and took 2nd in that...in the finals i got my butt whooped 17-0, hahaha, in my defense he was a pretty good "SPORT/COMPETITION" bjj kid...i SOOOO would love to defend myself some more but it is what it is really and win, lose or draw afterwards just gotta get back to work...
by the way i LOVE william shakespeare, he's SOOOO good...
