Im getting closer and closer to my fight November 14th and the training intensity is increasing. With fights so close its sometimes hard to have any kind of personal life that doesnt involve fighting or training. Im constantly watching training videos, fight videos, working out and making gameplans alongside regular training. It takes up most of my day but I try to set time aside to relax and do other things for fun.
This past weekend I went with one of my training partners and friends Nick Macias to the shooting range. We have an indoor range just down the street from my house. I like collecting and shooting all kinds of guns. It helps blow off steam and its something fun to do other than train. If the weather is right were going to try and make it up to the mountains next weekend to shoot some more.
This weekend is also the Halloween party at my work known as the "Victorian Fettish Ball". I dread it every year because I have to work all night around some of the weirdest people i have ever seen in my life, but its a job and until im on the big stage i will have to hold down some kind of job. MTX definetly helped me cut down on the amount of days i have to work, which im very grateful for.
Dont get me wrong...this blog is about a few of the things i do outside of training but i love nothing more than my whole life revolving around MMA. I wouldnt change it for anything. This week I went and did some strenght and conditioning in north denver at a gym called IMPACT. It was an intense workout. We were hooked into harnases attatched to a sled. The sled held 4- 45lb plates on it. The coach made us race each other down a 40yd field and back. I did it a total of 4 times and my legs began to give out on me. We followed it up with lunges, frog jumps and multiple response jumps to help explosiveness. It was a great workout and I feel stronger than ever. I cant wait until NOV. 14th. I said it in my last blog and i will say it again. If your in the area on Nov 14th let me know. I will get you tickets to the show!
