MTX MMA

I joined a crossfit gym last week and did a few classes. This week I started really getting after it with my new strength and conditioning coach chappy. I have never been so sore in my life but it feel great. Crossfit is a total body workout that is based on functional strength. None of us need to be able to bench a car, curl 200 lbs or squat 500lbs. Its more useful for fighters to be able to rep out weight 15 or 20 times when were tired and still push through. My workouts are all based on wearing me out, then hitting another round and pushing through it. Next week im going to do rounds where in between i do muay thai so i can incorporate being exhausted and still having enough "go" in me to fight a few more rounds. Im doing a 6 week program with chappy and im excited to see my progress, I will keep you all posted with my results and when im able to get a flip camera i will have videos to share with everyone.

Yesterday:

400 meter run as fast as possible
55 lb kettle bell - 21 swings
12 kipping pull ups

those 3 equal 1 rd. I had to complete 3 rds for time. (11:48 sec)

Today:

Tire Flips (around 400 lb tire) 3 flips
Gymnastic ring dips (6)
box jumps 12 (height ?)

The goal was to complete as many rounds as I could in 15 mins. I got 8 1/2. I have to say it looks easy on paper but I was suprised how hard it was. These were my first 2 days of the 6 week program.
