So I posted this earlier but for a quick recap, I ran through a glass door. This may sound like it ended well but surprisingly it did not. I had 25 stitches in my forehead holding together an eight centimeter gash and five stitches in my arm. Luckil…

In the last two years, reality television has done just about everything. I still have yet to see a show where people are forced to eat each other following a nuke being dropped but hey, you can't have everything. While mostly entertaining in that I…

So this weekend marks the first time I ever ran through a sliding glass door. I was sober which makes it all the worse. I was running to let my dog in and according to me I tripped while sprinting to the door and went through it head first. Accordin…

This weekend I saw the episode of Penn and Tellers' Bullshit where they looked at martial arts. At first I had no interest in watching this show until many people I know in the fighting world began discussing it. They looked at a krav maga instructo…

The movie Enemy at the Gates is about a Russian sniper who, after gaining quite the reputation for offing Nazi officers, becomes hunted by a high level German sniper. I think it's a pretty damn good movie. I like the idea and its just nice, does "it…

I get easily bored throughout the day. To combat this it's normally Call of Duty till I have to work or head to the gym. Even that can only go so far though, I had to find something else. I was on craigslist for some reason and opened up the missed…

Life is a glass door

So I posted this earlier but for a quick recap, I ran through a glass door. This may sound like it ended well but surprisingly it did not. I had 25 stitches in my forehead holding together an eight centimeter gash and five stitches in my arm. Luckily I hit the door with the hardest part of my forehead and not my face because Lord knows big ears, acne and a fucked face will not have the ladies lining up. I got cleared to start running and lifiting on the 12th but no contact for a minimum of si

Hey Ghost Hunters, give me back my time.

In the last two years, reality television has done just about everything. I still have yet to see a show where people are forced to eat each other following a nuke being dropped but hey, you can't have everything. While mostly entertaining in that I get to watch and giggle like a school girl at people looking like idiots, I sometimes scratch my head at some of these shows. Part of me wants to blame the assholes in television, always looking to make the quick buck at our expense. Or I blame th

Stuntmen do it all wrong

So this weekend marks the first time I ever ran through a sliding glass door. I was sober which makes it all the worse. I was running to let my dog in and according to me I tripped while sprinting to the door and went through it head first. According to my buddy I just flat ran through the door. Either way, I lost an 8 centimeter piece of flesh from my forehead ( I took it past the muscle, the doctor was able to show me all the layers when he was going to sew it back on. Pretty much I did som

Karate Kid

This weekend I saw the episode of Penn and Tellers' Bullshit where they looked at martial arts. At first I had no interest in watching this show until many people I know in the fighting world began discussing it. They looked at a krav maga instructor, a tai chi teacher and the one that struck close to home was a typical martial arts school. Or dojo, whatever the fuck you want to call it.

I started traditional martial arts training at the age of seven so I could be a Power Range

Short blog on something that bothered me last night

The movie Enemy at the Gates is about a Russian sniper who, after gaining quite the reputation for offing Nazi officers, becomes hunted by a high level German sniper. I think it's a pretty damn good movie. I like the idea and its just nice, does "it" for me. Whatever the hell "it" is. Watching last night though after several years of not seeing it brought to my attention that for Russians, the lead actor did not have an accent. It's Jude Law who is English and seems as if he didn't try. This
