I recently made a big change but it came with making one of the toughest decisions in my life. I have decided that it is time to make a switch in my training camps. I started at Gumm BJJ almost five years ago and it has been my home since day one. I developed great relationships and friendships with everyone there especially with my coach, Brad Gumm. It was a bachelor festival (not a party as Chris stated). My best friend Cody is getting married July 10th so as the best man I wanted to do something he would really enjoy. He and his dad are members on a private lake in northern Colorado it's an incredible place. I got a big group of guys together and we all headed up Friday afternoon for the weekend and I think it was a weekend that Cody won't forget. That's exactly what I said after I dominated Jimmy Seipel in the main event on February 5th to win the VFC Lightweight Championship! In his pre-fight interview he called me a chump and said I was overrated and shouldn't be getting the opportunity that was given to me. I think I changed is mind with a 2:34 1st round submission.

The past two weeks have flown by! Well, we're heading out to Omaha tomorrow morning to fight for the Victory Fighting Championships 155lb title on Friday. So excited, I have been looking forward to this fight for a long time and I have trained harder than ever. It will be great to finally fight out of state, especially on a big show like Victory.
